Our work

The JLI Center for Global Health Diplomacy is a Geneva-based think tank
dedicated to advancing sustainable financing, new technologies, and innovative approaches
to tackle the most pressing health and development challenges,
all guided by the principles of equity and solidarity.

The reasons behind our work

At the JLI Center for Global Health Diplomacy, we are driven by the conviction that the increasingly complex and interconnected challenges in health, development, and the environment require solutions rooted in human rights and global solidarity.

This is why we actively promote sustainable domestic and international financing to ensure long-term and reliable investments in regional and global public goods. Our approach is guided by the Global Public Investment (GPI) principles, which require all countries to contribute according to their capacities while sharing the benefits equitably and adopting representative, inclusive, and transparent governance structures.

Additionally, we champion innovations in healthcare technology, including the digital transformation of health systems and the responsible application of AI tools. These advancements are essential for expanding, improving, and cementing equitable access to quality health services worldwide.

Key partners and networks

The way we work

  • Building partnerships. We forge and support collaborations that integrate innovative and equitable approaches to strengthen health and development financing.
  • Facilitating discourse. We contribute to policy discussions through publications and public speaking engagements, drawing on a thorough analysis of trends and opportunities.
  • Mobilising expertise. We cultivate a network of influential experts and organizations across disciplines and countries to inform policy and financing discussions.
  • Securing commitments. We engage key stakeholders at international and national levels to foster political and financial commitments needed to achieve health and development goals.
