FT Live: The Future of Health Coverage

9 May 2019

FT Future of Health Coverage conference alongside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Joep Lange Institute was a success.

We were honored to have many special guests, including Her Majesty Queen Máxima, Netherlands Minister of Foreign Trade & Development Sigrid Kaag and Ghana Senior Minister Hon. Dr.Osafo Yaw. Recognition of the potential of mobile technology to better use and grow the money in the health systems – getting more bang for the buck – was evident.

In addition, we finally addressed the pink elephant in the room: data. The value of health-related data and that we have to agree on a model for society to benefit was widely supported. For and with the people. Like we built our pension funds. JLI will continue taking the lead in thinking, developing and testing new solutions.

We heard from experts about the infrastructure required so that the money and insights from personal data can flow back to society, including the poor, and discuss the importance of private sector involvement in the public domain of health.

These days reinforce exactly why we exist.  JLI will continue taking the lead in thinking, developing and testing new solutions to bring healthcare to everyone.
